In addition to the Quiet Life, Andy works full time at Girl Skateboards as a member of the infamous “Art Dump.”At Girl, Andy’s main duty is to art direct Girl’s shoe company Lakai Limited Footwear, but he also designs skateboard deck graphics to Girl Skateboards and Chocolate Skateboards, shoots photos for Fourstar, Ruby and the other brands within Girl, and contributes elsewhere when time allows. Andy also continues to do freelance photograph, design, and special projects under the name OhioGirl, and co-runs a small “indie” music label called OhioGold Records,

Civil Coffee was founded in 2011 on a dream of providing guests with a wonderful coffee experience without the usual context.
It was established by Alan and Alex Morales as an espresso pop up catering experience servicing the Los Angeles area. Under the banner of Civil Coffee, the home grown Angeleno brother duo served liquid gold in all sorts of events and festivities, from intimate weddings to full on festivals like Coachella. Through the years, the goal was to eventually open a brick and mortar where the ideas of Civil could be materialized.
In November of 2015, Civil Coffee opened its doors in the historic and colorful Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park. This is where great coffee from various roasters is purveyed in the form of espresso and filter brews though single origin offerings. A delightful breakfast and lunch menu, is also found to pair with the coffee. The overall intention was to design an experience that was friendly and approachable, serving the neighborhood as a watering hole and community space.
You can still be pleasantly surprised to find Civil popping up around town at various events, but its in Highland Park where every day is a good day to be civil.

The Artform Studio
Salon / Vinyls
After nearly a decade in Downtown Los Angeles' Arts District, The Artform Studio has relocated to the historic Los Angeles neighborhood Highland Park. We are a swank salon and boutique record store founded by husband and wife team Adrian and Sherry Younge. Their synthesis of the hair and music world makes this a destination for all creative people and families alike.
Before founding The Artform Studio, Sherry Younge served as a hair and makeup specialist for various upscale salons, throughout Los Angeles. Adrian Younge has produced for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Common, Wu-Tang, and has most recently scored Marvel's Luke Cage (alongside A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed Muhammad). Their unique perspectives on hair and music has brought them great success, and serves as a refreshing reminder that beauty and melody are synonymous.
The Artform Studio's services include men's and women's haircuts, hair coloring, hair styling, perm / relaxer, hair extensions, and make up application. The record boutique features thousands of rare vinyl and books, curated by Adrian Younge’s infatuation with classic Hip Hop, jazz, rare soul, and psychedelic world music. The boutiques' bespoke approach is further curated by co-owner and concert producer/promoter Andrew Lojero (ArtDontSleep), as well as the store’s manager, Ray Montano (Virgin Records/Amoeba).
Rudy's Barbershop is dedicated to quality haircuts and exceptional customer service at an affordable price in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Rudy's Barbershop is for everyone! We do cut & color for men, women, and kids!
In 1993, Rudy's opened and expanded upon the traditional notion of a barbershop to create a sense of community. Rudy's organic experience was curated with a well-articulated blend of art, music, and a sense of place. To this day, the initial vision of a cross-generational "community center" that acts as a source for creative energy, while offering a great haircut at a great price, remains the basis of Rudy's mission.
We are a curated vintage store and a art gallery.
